As you may have noticed, this page has a margin on both sides. The BLOCKQUOTE and UL tags each give a margin of about twenty to forty points. You can use them more than once to get the desired result. Do a little experimenting to get the right margin width.

These margins are independent from the browser window. Try making the window smaller or larger. The page will be displayed with wider or narrower text, the margins will stay the same.

The result depends on which browser you use. Explorer makes its margins a bit narrower than Navigator. You should view your page in both browsers, to make sure anyone can read it. There is no harm in making this a habit for all your web pages.
